About Us
The North Central Regional Center of Canine Companions for Independence opened January of 1987. Our mission as a non-profit organization is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.
Map of the North Central Regional Center

The North Central Regional Center services 13 states, including the western half of Pennsylvania and part of Canada.
By providing Service Dogs, Skilled Companion Dogs, and Facility Dogs, we have placed 513 graduate teams to-date, 273 of those still active.

There are currently 122 active volunteer puppy raisers and 600 dedicated volunteers located throughout our region. We also have a Chicago Satellite Office to aid in fundraising. This loyal group of people help us provide "exceptional dogs for exceptional people." ™
